Umm, I was not adding the " character. I was using that to differentiate between my comments and the game's output.

Yes, I discovered "descend stairs" which was in the first plaque I was directed to "look at", as I mentioned in my comment. Also please note my complaint that this is not your typical navigational command for ordinal directions (n, nw, s, sw etc).

This is not to say that there aren't some great things about the game. Hopefully you can take my comments as they are meant, simple and honest criticism. Not hateful rhetoric or mean bashing. Also, please note my last sentence, I do feel this game has a lot of potential in the future.

Okay, I apologize about the confusion of my last post. I clearly did not see the line that stated "phases of Alpha-testing".

I'm not sure how close this game is to stock GodWars, but there is clearly a lot of work left to be done.

Creating a new user seemed to be very in-depth. On irritating thing (for me at least) was that my password had to contain a capital-letter and a number as well as small-caps characters. This may very well be necessary for businesses such as banks or large corporations, but isn't it a little overkill for a text-based game? Think of it this way: If your bank account is hacked, the bank itself has to replace your money. If your game account is hacked, no one is to blame but you. Is it really necessary to force someone to a level of security that is beyond their own needs?

There were also a few minor glitches that can easily enough be repaired, such as these below:

"To see the obvious exits in a room, type 'EXITS'."
"[0][Hit: 1,000 Sta: 1,000]> exits"

"Huh? 'exits' is not a command."

And just in case it really is case-sensitive...

"[0][Hit: 1,000 Sta: 1,000]> EXITS"

"Huh? 'exits' is not a command."

In that same area...

"Try going into each direction from here. When you are done, go down."

"[0][Hit: 1,000 Sta: 1,000]> down"

"Alas, you cannot go that way."

Turns out, they really wanted you to type "descend stairs" which doesn't really fit in with the regular ordinal directions most gamers prefer to map their keypad to.

A little further on it told me to go north and kill some drakelings, I was hit with this...

"[0][Hit: 1,000 Sta: 1,000]>
A gold drakeling's golden scales glitter in the dim light as it swoops towards you.
A gold drakeling flies swiftly around you, talons raised in preparation for battle.
A gold drakeling's golden scales glitter in the dim light as it swoops towards you.
A gold drakeling flies swiftly around you, talons raised in preparation for battle.
A gold drakeling breathes out, scorching the wall behind you."

"[0][Hit: 1,000 Sta: 1,000]> kill gold"

"Huh? 'kill' is not a command."

Obviously I have no idea how to get around on a GodWars-based game, and the game is not very newbie-friendly at this time.

One thing I did like was the overhead map that is mentioned in the game's description. It is well-structured and fits on the average mud client's screen with little top-loss.

All in all, I'd say that this is not a game for players (as described pretty much in the description as well) but it looks to have a lot of promise, as long as the admin stick to their current map system.

Yes, it Alpha, but look for this game to go places in the near future!

Question: with only one builder and with the request for more, would you consider your game to be either in alpha or beta right now?
