Dragonball Advent Truth

Have you ever wished to play in a DBZ MUD that actually expressed the ideas put forth in the show and stuck to them as closely as possible while still maintaining that “game” aspect? You may have tried other DBZ MUDs and been disappointed to find that they either sacrificed the game play element or sacrificed the DBZ element. Perhaps you have played DBZ MUDs that are DBZ in name only but for all intents and purposes are either poorly designed or a totally different genre pretending to be DBZ just to draw you in. Perhaps you have tried many DBZ MUDs and been disappointed for a number of reasons.

Well friend your answer has arrived. Dragonball Advent Truth is that answer. It is a DBZ mud that sticks as close to the ideas of the show as possible, distilling them into a game, and all while still maintaining balanced game play. We at Dragonball Advent Truth can’t stress balance enough. Balance is what makes games enjoyable. Balance is what brings out the best in the player. Not just being handed achievements or having them ridiculously difficult to earn. Not having one caste of players standing above another without any due process for that caste to be replaced

Some of the features DBAT offers:

* Destructible environments.
* Fully explorable space
* Private Ships that you can own to explore space
* Dynamic Gravity system with gravity generators that can be programmed to a specific setting
* Dynamic Wish system that summons Shenron and allows you to speak wishes like in the show
* Scouters that work like in the show, detecting powerlevels on a planet and alerting their owner
to incoming powerlevels.
* Unique Combat system that allows for personalized strategies based on the pros/cons of your
skill set. Encouraging teamwork against powerful opponents or expressing the awesome feeling
of fighting alone.
* Sensei fighting disciplines chosen at character creation. Each with their own set of skills that
are unique.
* Trainers, the non-Sensei type that offer skills to players of any discipline if they happen to find
the trainer and meet their requirements for training.
* Fully coded clan system that allows ultimate freedom for clan leaders to run their clans.
Setting whether the clan is free to join or restricted to application. Naming the ranks of the clan
and being able to actively promote/demote your members. Managing the clan bank for
purchasing clan related buildings/perks. As well as much more.
* In depth roleplay environment that fully takes advantage of the advanced systems of DBAT.

Where do I begin? After a long hiatus from MUDding I perused the lists for something new and exciting. I had
always been a Dragonball/Z fan, and I missed roleplaying; it seemed like a good match to me.
I logged on for the first time and was heartily greeted by the staff — something I did not expect!
The character creation process was very smooth, and quite extensive.

I made my way through the MUD school, familiarizing myself with the differing commands and
mechanics of the MUD and finished it off with the finer details. After I had completed the school, I made my
way into the environment itself. Mobs pointed me on my way to where I needed to go, and was
soon surprised that I had an influence on my environment just by attacks missing/being blocked.

Not even a dozen levels into the game and I had found myself immersed in my first role-playing
experience on the game. I was a good little player and submitted my character’s biography ahead of
time, so I went through the role-playing, and continued my growth on the game.

As time passed and I became more and more aware of the mechanics, I was able to make a decent name for myself
in the community by being out-spoken, always trying to role-play with others, and helping the staff in
whichever way I could. Barely a month later, I found myself in a staff spot helping out the very newcomers
to the MUD with a great attitude like I had originally come in contact with. I have enjoyed my time on
Dragonball: Advent Truth immensely, and I hope others can too. We look forward to seeing you!

This is a pretty gay mud, forcing you to roleplay. how gay can you get to force someone to play in a way that doesn’t seem far.

Pk on here is pretty gay too you have to write out how you killed them as you are killing them. GAY!

Seems someone has a fixation with being gay. Other than the question of his sexual orientation, his poor spelling, and his poor grammar Dubstack here is right. You are forced to roleplay and you are forced to PK in character. I was unaware you had played the MUD though. I thought you were busy trying to run DBT copies with 20x exp multipliers running all the time so your players could level effortlessly.

Well in any case you should try a bit harder when writing a review. Even if you are only trying to bash a MUD you should put more effort into it. Seriously, “gay”? The pinnacle of your insults is “gay”. Are you still in middle school? Oh wait… Maybe you are.
