Aetolia, the Midnight Age

Aetolia, the Midnight Age is a world created by the makers of Achaea, the world’s #1 rated text MUD. After a reality-crushing battle between Sarapis, the Creator of Achaea, and a God from outside Creation, the new world, Aetolia, was created. Warped and twisted, player-vampires roam the land from their base in Bloodloch, attempting to dominate all who oppose them.

Aetolia has fully original coding and areas, and a combat system similar to Achaea’s, which is to say enormously complicated, deep, and fun. “It’s a rush.” is the most common comment. There’s intense roleplaying, dedicated admins, politics, economics, a massive world, and more. We sit on redundant T3 lines on the latest computer hardware, guaranteeing you an excellent playing experience.

This game is without a doubt one of the most richly rewarding games I have ever played. as a uni student, it has become an escape from my daily drudge of assessments and lectures. One were I can talk to friends, slaughter the innocent and still maintain a health dose of politics and RP.

Come experience a world steeped in rich characters and locations, battle the undead and defeat the hoarded of the Vampire city of Bloodloch.

Awesome game. Strong community, awesome admin who listen to feedback and work to make things better for everyone, tons of roleplay, solid structure for new players, lots to do with more stuff added frequently, and overall an insane amount of fun.

I’ve been playing for coming up on four years and don’t plan to stop. Come check it out!

This MUD guarantees an excellent playing experience, no doubt because of the relatively strong team of volunteer administrators up in the pools, led by a strong producer at the helm. Aetolia possesses hidden jewels of roleplay that you can only discover by delving deeper into the subtle relationships and tensions of the organizations in the game.

If you’re looking for more combat-related aspects or non-combat enjoyment, Aetolia will not disappoint, and neither will the community!

I’m an Aetolia junkie. Proudly so. It’s the kind of game where I can walk around without anyone seeing me, carefully considering when I want to rip them from their reality into mine and tear them apart from head to toe with an awesome combat system before dropping them back in the prime material plane with a laugh as they slowly bleed to death. A game where I can slip into a shop as the owner is leaving and steal whatever I like while she’s gone, but still the kind of community where I don’t take everything and financially cripple the unfortunate shopkeeper.
Give it a week, maybe two, and you’ll be hooked. You’ll be galloping along the highway or teleporting to friends, always unaware that I’m probably right behind you. Ready and waiting.
