The year is 2659. War between the Terran Confederation and the felinoid aliens known as the Kilrathi has raged for twenty years, with no end in sight. Seeking to break the stalemate, the Kilrathi have launched a surprise offensive through the edge of Terran-controlled space in Gemini Sector. A tenacious counteroffensive has pushed back the first wave of the Kilrathi assault, but with a massive Kilrathi force in front and a morass of corruption behind, it may only be a matter of time until the Terran lines break…

Based on the ‘Wing Commander’ series of games, Wing Commander: Gemini Sector offers space opera fun in a bureaucracy-light atmosphere. The game is set aboard a single Terran Confederation carrier, the TCS Majestic, so roleplay is never far away. At times, events will open up that allow the player to roleplay elsewhere in the universe such as planets, resorts, installations, and other ships. Knowledge of the series is not required.

Chargen is quick and alts are allowed. You can create a character who is a pilot, a technician, a marine, or a naval officer/enlisted man. Combat is coded and easy to use. Player death does not occur without consent. Main plot is staff driven, but there are plenty of opportunities for player-based events. Most social events are player-driven. Staff and other players are always willing to help new players get in. The rules are light, just be respectful to other players out of character and you are good. The player-base is very friendly and mature.

Overall, the guiding principle is ‘We are all here to have fun’.

The Great Revelation changed the way people saw the world; the remote areas of central Maine were no exception. 2002 was, of course, several years ago. Some people have come to accept vampires as friends and neighbors, some look to hunt them and destroy them, painting them out to be soulless monsters and still others aren’t sure where they stand. The world, however, has pressed on.

The city of Bangor has restructured itself to cater to its vampire residents. More and more stores are staying open 24 hours a day, a Blood Bar has opened in the mall and the University in Orono even offers night classes specifically for vampires. Not all people are behind this pro-vampire progression, however. The nearby town of Brewer has gone to lengths to enact as many laws as possible to deter vampiric residents including curfews and a ban on synthetic blood.

Where will you stand? Are you a vampire fighting for equality or one who believes they’re above such petty human laws? Maybe you’re not a vampire at all but a mysterious werewolf or a human with psychic abilities. Maybe you’re not a supernatural being at all but a mere mortal caught in the cross hairs of all the fighting. That’s for you to decide.

So come and join us at Northern Vampire Mysteries Mux!

constantly adapting to shape new forms.

An adult erotic MUD like game.

The Final Challenge began in March of 1994, and is more
commonly known to those who play it as TFC or \’the mud\’. It
has a dedicated, addicted, & friendly player base from all
over the world that enjoys meeting new people and
interacting. TFC attracts a variety of types of players.
You\’ll find players who place a heavy emphasis on role-
playing, those who are PKers, those who enjoy the puzzles,
challenges, and mobmasteries in the game, those who enjoy
exploring the almost entirely unique 12,000+ room world,
those who like to sit and chat, & those who are a mixture
of all of the above. And you won\’t get lost in the crowd -
since there are generally 20-30 people online at a time.

TFC has a god-follower system and a variety of alignment
flavors that a character can choose from. Of course,
characters can also go it on their own and remain
unaligned. Characters may dual and triple class as well.
Players may also have multiple characters (and many do), so
long as they are not online at the same time and are played
as separate individuals. Stop by mud.finalchallenge.net 4000
and check it out for yourself.

Bela Lugosi’s dead, and so am I. But what’s left of Bela is rotting in a pine coffin somewhere, while I have the opportunity to sit here on the balcony, enjoy my drink and look at you. Correct me if I’m being presumptuous, but I suspect that I have the better end of the deal.

I can tell by looking at you that you’re not comprehending. Of course you’re not — these are cynical, rational times, and you\’re not going to believe that I’m a dead man just because I say so. A century ago it would have been different — well, it was quite different the last time I had this little talk with someone — but this is the age of facts. And the facts are that corpses don’t move, don’t walk, don’t talk. I’m terribly sorry, my dear, but I have a surprise for you: This corpse does.

So sit down. Please, I insist that you make yourself comfortable. Pour yourself something to drink, preferably from the bottle on the left — the stuff on the right is an acquired taste. It’s going to be a long evening, and you’re going to need a stiff drink or two, I suspect. After all, in the next few hours I’m going to explain to you in excruciating detail why everything you think you know about life and death is wrong. In other words, you don’t know a blessed thing about the way the world really works, and I’m going to open your eyes.

But I’m afraid, my dear, that you’re not going to like what you see.
———————————————————————
Haven Of The Embraced is based on the World of Darkness roleplaying games by White Wolf publishing. We feature a variety of vampire Clans, werewolf Tribes and mage Traditions with a variety of unique abilities inherent to each race. New players can start their lives as Vampires, freshly made into the Undead, or they can begin their story as Human and make the change to something more later on in the game.

Aarchon MUD was started in 1996 by a large group of players who
had left another MUD to create their own. Aarchon is based on a
ROM 2.4 Codebase and has been heavily customized since, running
now with ARC 1.0 code as well.

There are currently over 50 races to choose from, 19 of which
are available upon creation. We have 15 classes with another
in development. Most of the areas are original, with a few
stock zones left in tact intentionally so that new players
have some familiar zones available.

Aarchon currently has 7 remorts with a total of 10 planned, and
subclassing to occur thereafter. New skills, spells, and
game mechanics are regularly being developed and introduced
to the game. We welcome players of all experience levels and
have something for everyone whether you like magic, adventure,
warfare, or just a place to hang out and chat.

PKill comes in 3 different flavors (non-pk, pk, and hardcore).
Roleplay is optional, with some clans that are heavy-roleplay.
Mini-quests have been implemented that can be completed solo, and
immortal ran quests that require a group effort are ran on a regular
basis.

Stop by, say hello, and join in on the fun.
