Greetings everyone,
This post will have two parts.
First, I'd like to introduce those of you who aren't familiar with our project to the game we're building and invite you to check out our forums and hopefully get involved.
Second, I'll be inviting all experienced MUD PvPers or just people who feel they have something to contribute in this area to send in their applications for the Lithmeria, the Endless Siege PvP Beta.


What is Lithmeria?
Lithmeria, the Endless Siege is a balance MUD being developed in the Avalon tradition. The development team led by Selkrener (a MUD coding veteran of many years) has taken a fresh look at the 'balance MUD' concept and tried to make the game they've always wanted to play.
What are some of Lithmeria's features?
- Fully afflictable PvE mobiles that will fight back with skills just as varied and unique as those belonging to players. Every player skill works on mobiles and many mobiles intelligently use player skills. The days of mashing SLASH GOBLIN are over.
- Quests that affect the world in lasting ways.
- Immersive roleplay. Forge your own destiny.
- An achievement system with unique rewards.
- Build your mercurial Empire with player owned shops, stalls and via auction houses.
- Craft unique weapons, ships and discover up to 40,000 possible concoctions.
- Lithmeria's unique 'Dynamic Quest' system which means some quests will be uniquely generated just for you.
- A complex war system. Join the Aspalarian Sovereignty or the Accord of Teladir and wage brutal war on your foes.
- PvP built with team combat in mind. No instant-kills, hard-afflictions or two-hit-kill combinations.
- 8 distinct classes, each with 3 tiers of skills which can be combined to form unique specializations. Combine Bladework and Envenoming to become an Assassin or Envenoming and Infusion to become a debilitating Mutilator.
- Simplified healing that can be as easy or as complex as the user wishes it to be. One need not be a coding guru to participate at the highest levels.
- Take to the high seas and engage in exciting ship to ship battles. Battle PvE pirates or wage war against enemy players as you and your crew use sail, rudder, ballista and catapult as well as your unique class skills to shatter the enemy hull or board their vessel.

We're looking for those with a healthy amount of experience in PvP scenarios. Experience in balance MUDs such as Avalon or the Iron Realms Entertainment games will let you hit the ground running. Lithmerian PvP is somewhat unusual in that it is being balanced specifically around group combat as well as 1v1 fighting. Experience in or great ideas for team battles are most welcome.
If you've no experience or interest in participating in the PvP, we encourage you to come along to our forums anyway. We will likely be doing extensive Beta testing for PvE, Sailing, Crafting and likely other things. If you're a MUD enthusiast there's sure to be some way you can contribute to making Lithmeria all it can be. We look forward to seeing all of you at: Lithmeria Forums
