Okay, I know that this game doesn't really need yet another forum, but I am curious as to how many people here also play World Of Warcraft on the side.
How many hours a week do you play?
If you are a MUD administrator: Do you feel it affects your creativity? Perhaps you find yourself trying to implement portions of the game on your lowly text-based engine?
Are you an avid fan, or just get bored and raid on the weekends?
Oh, and if you don't play WoW, but do play another graphical game, soundoff!

My hardcore MMORPG playing days predate WoW I'm afraid so while it's something I've tried out I never really got into it. I used to play EQ for a while and SWG when it first launched, but what I was really into was Shadowbane. I don't think my GF at the time really appreciated me shouting into teamspeak at 3am but I had a lot of fun!

For reasons I can't explain (likely due to lack of interest) I've never been interested in any MMORPG.
I do belong to a large musical instrument forum, and when someone mentioned WoW in the OT section, I was amazed at how many claim addiction. I mentioned MUDs, of course, but got no replies.
I would expect more mudders to be interested, but I suppose by now they're not with us anymore. I lost my first co-IMP to WoW.

The only graphical mud I've played is Guild Wars, as it didn't have any monthly subscription, but I got bored of it after a couple of weeks. I briefly watched a friend play WoW, but I didn't find it appealing. I like their TV adverts though.
I did like the idea of dyes in Guild Wars, and added that to my mud, although I made the dyes give bonuses rather than being purely cosmetic.
As for 'lowly', from what I've seen the graphical muds are still behind text muds – it's only their clients that are more advanced (most text muds don't even have their own clients).
