Another fossil, unearthed in this shiny new, cool place.
I'm Brody, been around (for good or ill, depending on who you ask) since the mid-1990s. I got my start in the RP side of MUDing on TOS TrekMUSE. In 1998, I struck out on my own with OtherSpace and haven't really looked back since. Over the next 10 years, I oversaw several games at http://www.jointhesaga.com – OtherSpace, Star Wars: Reach of the Empire, Chiaroscuro, Necromundus, and, for a while, OtherSpace: Millennium.
The economy of time and effort have, over time, led to a contraction in the games at JTS – we're now down to a rebooted OtherSpace and Necromundus as our primary projects.
In my spare time, I work on my JTS games. For my job, I help develop the new post-apocalyptic MMORPG Fallen Earth – http://www.fallenearth.com – carrying through on a vow I made to Falkenberg sometime in 1997 that I'd do this kind of thing for a living someday.

Welcome, Brody! It's always nice to hear from experienced game creators around here. It may seem quiet for now, but we have a pretty steady core who at least pops by daily to check the forums. I hope you have some time to post your thoughts here and there from time to time.
Oh, almost forgot… Can a brotha get the hookup on the FE Beta?

Official late welcoming from the slayer dwarf Gotrek: Welcome Brody! IMO it is the dream of nearly every MUD admin/coder/builder to go on to make a living doing this sort of thing. I always get a warm and fuzzy feeling when someone does; especially so when they are still involved in the MUDding community.

Thanks for the welcome! And I can't imagine *not* being involved to some extent in this community, especially since it's where I got my own start in game development. It always helps to remember where you came from.

Impressive project, Brody. I actually took a moment to sign up for your beta, making Fallen Earth the 2nd graphical game I've taken an interest in since 1996, and the first MMO. :)
I'll keep an eye on your site to for if/when you're ever looking for writers.
Aside from that I agree with the others, it's good to see an old-schooler in your line of work still active in the text-based world.
