Hey Guys,
Just thought I would start a post here by introducing myself to any who doesn't know me.
I started mudding about 12 years ago, I learned the ropes of mudding from Realms of Despair.
What drew me to mudding though is that I am an old Dungeons and Dragons player. I played
ROD avatared 3 characters, and once I figured out I could avatar in a week, got to thinking hrm,
there has got to be a more challenging mud out there. Don't get me wrong, I loved my
experience there, and have nothing bad to say about them, as I still love and use smaug codebase
myself, I just preferred more challenging gaming. I found a game called Dragons of Exile. This
game was very much like ROD except it was challenging. It had tripleclass multiclass which I
enjoyed. I played there for many years, and unfortunately the place exploded because clans
were removed, and all of us deadlies went our own ways. I looked for another mud that was
as entertaining to me for awhile, and could find none. So I got to thinking you know why
don't I make my own. I have spent the last 10 years or so doing that. With many years
being learning how to build, code, and admin. Heh, I'm still learning. I suppose my story is
typical on how people branch off to make their own muds, some disagreement with Staff on
your favorite one. Well Six Dragons is what I hope a challenging alternative to ROD. I used
the Chronicles codebase which is a derivative of Smaug, but my love for Smaug codebase
has kept the basic interfaces still smaug style. The 6 Dragons story can be found here

I would like to Thank Orrin for making this site. I feel that mudconnect did not cater to the
younger smaller muds at all. I would like to see seperate listings for stages of your mud.
Developmental stage listing, Completed Mud listing, etc. I'll post that in idea forum too.
